Glass Fusing: Swallowtail Butterflyby *Mysticalpchan

Hello!

This is my first project for my Glass Fusing class. The assignment was to make a glass piece using frit (which is a powdered/broken down pieces of glass down to the consistency of about salt). The butterflies were made in 2 ways using the frit. The one on the left was first drawn on paper and then I put on the frit and baked it giving it the lacy look. The one on the right was done briefly but directly onto the glass.

The tree branches were done using amber noodle glass. The leaves and blossoms were done using a variety of confetti glass.

The glass frit designs took me around 6-7 hrs. The branches and blossoms took around 3 hrs.

WOW! This is beautiful, I love this so much~
The left butterfly is just so amazing. And the leaves and blossoms are so lovely with their random shapes.
